Net Positive

A situation where the sum of the full environmental impacts of an organization – across the full supply chain – is less than the net reduction in environmental impact caused by use of the company’s products, services, or solutions. [Note: MIT has a “net positive” initiative as part of SHINE (Sustainability and Health Initiative for Net Positive Enterprise), – which aims to improve the scientific basis by which Net Positive is assessed (products, activities, companies, economic sectors, individuals, and groups).]
