Full-Cost Accounting

A method of cost accounting that traces both direct and indirect costs by collecting information on all possible environmental, social, and economic costs/benefits for each proposed alternative. For example, full cost would assign a “cost of carbon” to address carbon risk associated with use of hydrocarbons.
